Ajay Damani
Chief Executive Officer
Ajay Damani is Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of CoreRx since October 2021. Ajay brings over 20 years of experience in the life sciences industry across business development and marketing, M&A and licensing, and product development. Prior to joining CoreRx, Ajay led the Pharmaceutical Technologies business unit at Adare Pharmaceuticals, and was a member of the executive leadership team. Previously, Ajay led the Global Pharmaceutical Business Development organization at Capsugel, and led commercial integration efforts once the company was acquired by Lonza.
Ajay holds dual degrees from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science and the Wharton School of Business.
Dan Dobry
Chief Strategy Officer
Dan has greater than 25 years of experience as a global CDMO business leader and drug delivery innovator and has contributed to process and formulation development, particle engineering and materials science innovations resulting in more than 15 patents. Dan’s experience in the pharma services industry spans manufacturing science and technology, product development, alliance management, corporate development. Prior to joining CoreRx, Dan held leadership roles in Commercial Development at Lonza, Strategic Alliance Management at Capsugel, and as the Vice President of Engineering for Bend Research, Inc.
Dan earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Chemical Engineering at Oregon States University.
David Vodak
Chief Scientific Officer
David has 20 years of experience as a global R&D leader and drug delivery innovator and has a strong track record of bringing new, enabling technologies in drug delivery to application in new medicines, illustrated by over 17 patents and 40 publications in the field. With prior roles a head of global R&D, David has experience building global R&D teams to solve cross-functional problems statements and gain IP to enable new medicines with partners in the innovations space. Prior to joining CoreRx, David was the Global Head of Small Molecules R&D in Lonza and the Global Head of R&D for Dosage Form Solutions in Capsugel, and as the Vice President of Research for Bend Research, Inc.
David holds a PhD in Material Science from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor as well as a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Chemistry at Willamette University.
Dan Bashour
Executive Director, Manufacturing Operations
Dan has over 19 years of experience in leading pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. Prior to CoreRx, Dan held several leadership positions with Mylan, including Vice-President of Technical Services, Vice-President of Operations and Vice President/General Manager.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a concentration in Clinical Chemistry from the University of South Florida.
Christy Tobias
Executive Director of Global Quality
Christy Tobias brings nearly 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with an extensive background in Quality Management Systems. Christy began her career at Mylan Pharmaceuticals where she worked for over 20 years holding various management level positions of progressively increasing levels of responsibility across the globe. Christy specializes in the development and implementation of Quality systems and Global Quality policies. She has a proven track record of leadership, and creating a harmonized approach to Quality Management.
Janice Cacace, Ph.D.
Executive Director, Product Development
Dr. Janice Cacace’s career has spanned over 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry in the areas of formulation, product development, consulting and academia. Before joining CoreRx, Dr. Cacace held various management level positions involved in pharmaceutical product development with firms including Sancilio and Company, Azopharma and Ivax. Her experience covers a wide range of dosage forms and product types. These include tablets, capsules, spray-dried dispersions, wet and dry granulations, soft gelatin capsules, oral liquids, topicals, injectables, medical foods, and covers both generic and new chemical entities.
Dr. Cacace holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from Purdue University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutics from the University of Florida.
Kevin Rierson
Executive Director, Human Resources
Kevin is a human resources professional with over 15 years of experience. Prior to CoreRx, Kevin was with firms including SpartanNash and TRW Automotive.
Kevin is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and is SHRM certified. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Davenport University.
Cara Young, Ph.D.
Executive Director, Business Development
Cara has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry across analytical chemistry, formulation development, clinical and commercial manufacturing, and business development. She began her career at Johnson & Johnson and has held various roles of increasing responsibility in technical groups and business development groups within pharmaceutical companies and contract development and manufacturing organizations.
Cara holds a B.S. degree in chemistry from Arcadia University, a M.S. degree in Industrial Pharmacy from The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Temple University.
